Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information TheWriter.id collects when you visit thewriter.id or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

TheWriter.id is a specialist B2B writing service for the telecommunications industry, run by Junun Rahmat Saleh. We write content such as industry blog posts, educational email courses, executive ghostwriting, technical whitepapers and case studies for fiber operators, ISPs, infrastructure providers and telecom equipment vendors.

In this policy, “TheWriter.id”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this business. “You” means anyone who visits the website or gets in touch with us.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry using the form on our Contact page, we collect:

  • Your name (required)
  • Your work email address (required)
  • Your company name or website (optional)
  • The service you are interested in (optional)
  • Your project brief and anything else you choose to tell us (required)

If you email us at hello@thewriter.id or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever you include in your message. Please do not send confidential network, customer or commercially sensitive information until we have agreed how it will be handled.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
  • Analytics. We use Google’s tag (gtag.js), installed through the Site Kit by Google plugin, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how people arrive. Google may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you visit.
  • On-site page and conversion events. A content plugin on our site records page views and enquiry events and sends them to our own website. This helps us see which articles are useful.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Why we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss, quote for or deliver a project you have asked about.
  • To run and protect the website, including hosting, caching, preventing spam (our form uses a hidden spam-trap field) and fixing technical issues.
  • To understand and improve the website using aggregated analytics.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business records where the law requires it.

We will not add you to a marketing mailing list just because you sent an enquiry.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Based on what currently runs on this site, the following may be used:

  • Google Analytics / Google tag cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*), set through Site Kit by Google to measure site usage.
  • Essential WordPress and hosting cookies. WordPress, the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and Hostinger’s infrastructure may set cookies needed for the site to work, for caching or for security. Logged-in administrators also receive WordPress login cookies; ordinary visitors do not need to log in.
  • Third-party resources. Some files load from external services: Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), the Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) and a Hostinger script (cdn-reach.hostinger.com). When your browser fetches these files, those providers receive your IP address and browser details, and Hostinger’s delivery network may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) on its own domain.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop the site from working. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Who else may process your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf or as needed to provide their services:

  • Hostinger, our web host, which also provides caching and content delivery.
  • Google, for analytics (Google tag via Site Kit) and web fonts.
  • Tailwind CSS CDN, which serves a styling script used by the site.
  • Email and messaging providers, when you email us or contact us on WhatsApp.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public. Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn or WhatsApp, are covered by those companies’ own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries and emails: as long as needed to respond and follow up. If we work together, we keep project correspondence for as long as needed for the project and for our legal and accounting records. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted when they are no longer needed.
  • Analytics data: kept in line with the retention settings in our Google Analytics account.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period set by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

7. Your rights and how to contact us

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information when we no longer need to keep it;
  • stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you have given.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your local law, such as Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), the GDPR in the EU and UK, or US state privacy laws. We will respect the rights that apply to you.

To make a request or ask a question about privacy, email hello@thewriter.id or use the form on our Contact page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We aim to respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

8. International transfers

TheWriter.id is based in Indonesia, and we work with clients around the world. Our service providers, including Hostinger and Google, may store or process information in countries other than yours, which may have different data protection laws. Where this happens, we rely on these providers’ own security measures and contractual safeguards.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS, and we limit access to enquiry data. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information through the contact form.

10. Children’s privacy

This website is for businesses and professionals. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, tools or legal requirements change. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on the site.
